Focus on Leadership during the May HEB Chamber Membership Luncheo
Hurst, Euless, Bedford, Texas: For Immediate Release, May 10, 2007
Tarrant County College Northeast Campus president, Dr. Larry Darlage will be the keynote speaker at the monthly Chamber membership luncheon, May 10, 2007.
He began his career in teaching and education at Pikeville College in eastern Kentucky. In 1978, Larry moved to Dallas to help start up Brookhaven College. He served as Division Chair of Science and Mathematics and Vice-President of Instruction. In 1996, he was hired by Tarrant County College to serve as the president of the Northeast Campus in Hurst.
In the community, Larry serves on the following boards: The Colleyville Area Chamber of Commerce, the HEB Chamber, the Keller Chamber, the American Heart Association, the Regional Science Fair, the Northeast Leadership Forum, and the Texas Student Housing Authority. He currently chairs the Northeast Steering Committee of the United Way, and the Heart of North Texas Business Conference Committee. He is active in the American Cancer Society, the Southlake Executive Forum, and the Metroport Rotary Club.
Mr. Darlage will speak to the graduating 2007 Leadership HEB class who will be recognized during the Luncheon .
The Chamber’s membership luncheon sponsor for May is ONCOR Electric Delivery. Monthly membership luncheons are held at the First United Methodist Church of Hurst, 521 W. Pipeline Road, Hurst. Networking begins at 11:00 a.m. Buffet opens at 11:30 a.m. Cost for the luncheon is $18 for members and $30 for non-members.
