HEB Chamber of Commerce & Leadership HEB develop future community leaders
Hurst, Euless, Bedford, Texas: For Immediate Release, May 10, 2007
The HEB Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce the graduation of the 2007 HEB Leadership Class.
Joining the ranks of many past distinguished leaders are La Afungia, Forest Ridge Funeral Home; Jennifer Burt, Frost Bank; Jessica Campbell, Alliance for Children, Inc.; Penny Cypert, Tarrant County College-Northeast Campus; Lesli Guajardo, HEB Independent School District; Mike Harris, HEB Independent School District; Wendy Hartnett, City of Bedford; Kurt Kasson, City of Euless; Michelle Lazo, City of Hurst; Malaiko Marion, City of Hurst; Connie Ogden, Liberty Tax Service; Rafael Otoya, Capital One Bank; Pat Paprocki, Harris Methodist HEB Hospital; Norma Salinas, OmniAmerican Bank; Linda von der Heide, Handango, Inc. and Billie Yahne, City of Bedford.
Leadership HEB has been developing community leaders for over twenty years to assure quality volunteers for the future. The mission of Leadership HEB is to motivate emerging leaders, develop potential for civic responsibilities and increase their knowledge of the community.
Participants of Leadership HEB class got a behind-the-scenes look at area transportation issues, economic development, public safety, city government, education, and the state government at work during a day trip to Austin. The class also planned and completed a community service project, re-decorating the Tarrant County Women Infant& Children program office in Euless.
